Project objective:
- Creation of a forest genomics laboratory; study of genomes of main forest-forming species of Russia and their most dangerous pathogens (primarily fungi) that cause catastrophic exsiccation of Russian boreal forests
- Development of molecular and genetic markers for determining the origin of wood, monitoring genetic variability of pinewood forests, their adaptation to climate change and for creation of selection and nature preservation programs
