ЗАДАЧИ ПРОЕКТА
Строительство самого крупного в мире гамма-телескопа, который будет работать как фотоаппарат, — делать снимок за 5 наносекунд (9 миллиардных секунды)*.

1.Гамма - астрономия высоких энергий.
2.Проектирование и создание телескопов наземного базирования для регистрации черенковского излучения широких атмосферных ливней с созданием изображения, включая разработку камер изображения, механических конструкций, зеркал, электроники и т.д.
3.Разработка и создание промышленных ультра быстрых совершенных оптических детекторов, сверхчувствительных гибридных фотодиодов на основе GaAsP, фотокатодов (INTEVAC (USA), ITT (USA), Hamamatsu (Japan)), ультрабыстрых фотоэлектронных умножителей (Electron Tubes (UK), Photonis (France), Hamamatsu (Japan) ), матриц лавинных фотодиодов (Hamamatsu, Japan) и т.д.
4.Применение физических методов в медицине, конструирование, создание и тестирование лавинных светодиодов для позитронных томографов высокого разрешения.
