Целью проекта является изучение взаимодействия фемтосекундного лазерного излучения видимого и ближнего инфракрасного диапазона с наноструктурированными материалами. Задачами проекта являются исследование оптических размерных и нелинейных эффектов в отдельных нанообъектах (металлических, магнитных, полупроводниковых и гибридных), а также в новых фотонных материалах, обладающих аномальными оптическими нелинейностями, состоящих из организованных массивов таких нанообъектов и перспективных для интеграции фотоники и электроники.

Достижения и награды

В 1967 году окончил физический факультет МГУ (кафедра квантовой теории, научный руководитель – А. А. Абрикосов, ныне нобелевский лауреат). Доктор физико-математических наук, профессор сингапурского Института хранения данных, почётный профессор университета им. Иоганна Кеплера (Линц, Австрия). Был приглашённым профессором в Австрии, Италии, Франции, Японии, членом Научных советов Российской академии наук по химии высоких энергий и нелинейной динамике. Автор 6 монографий и 280 статей, лауреат высшей сингапурской государственной награды за научные достижения - President's Science Award-2013 (за выдающийся вклад в теорию взаимодействия лазерного излучения с веществом и рассеяния света наночастицами, в частности, резонансы Фано в плазмонных материалах).
