Scientific work of the leading scientist, his/her main scientific achievements:
Dipendra Prasad is Distinguished Professor in Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in India. His most significant results belong to the representation theory. Bright example of them is his work on trilinear forms that solves a nontrivial case of a conjecture made by Gross.
Another example is his solution of conjecture of Jacquet on distinguished representation of general linear groups. The techniques he has initiated have proved extremely useful to people working in the Langland's program. With the name of Dipendra Prasad the GrossPrasad (later GanGrossPrasad) conjectures are connected. Dipendra Prasad received Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in 2002 and Ramanujan Award of the Indian Science Congress in 2005. He was a speaker in honor of the Platinum Jubilee at the Indian Scientific Congress in 2011. He is also invited speaker in ICM 2018.
